“ Howie's Diner is not too bad for a truck stop diner. It looks like they're putting some money back into this location with the new pumps, which is a positive sign. The breakfast meal I had was good, and the pricing isn't too hard on the wallet. Overall, I was pleased with my breakfast and would consider stopping by again. ”
“ Food is always good. No matter what time it is. It's like Waffle House but better. But the flies are really bad ”
“ Service very friendly and quick. Food was great and plentiful. Pancake lopped over the edge of the plate, goetta was crispy. Recommend! ”
“ I work overnights on the weekends, so when you come in to work at midnight and your "lunch break" is at 5am, choices are kind of slim. But there's only so much White Castle and Waffle House you can eat, so I went with the only other option that was open - Howie's. It has now become my go-to most nights for food. Everything I've had from there has been so delicious! The Deep Fried Oreos are probably the closest I'll ever come to experiencing the Fried Food Fiesta known as the Texas State Fair. Anyway, I digress. Believe it or not, there is online ordering available through DoorDash. I always take my food to-go, so being able to order it and it usually be ready when I get there is super convenient. Although I've never dined in, the staff has always been super friendly when I come to pick up my food. And I also have to give a shout out to the Sinclair crew at the attached gas station. Super awesome people and enough energy drink options to keep me awake all night! TLDR - Awesome food, great people, no reason to miss out on Howie's! ”
“ Howie's is your classic, American diner serving up home style and hearty meals 24/7. The couple of times I've visited this establishment has been during breakfast and both times have been excellent. The waitresses are friendly and the food comes out quick. Located adjoining a gas station, it's a local pit stop for truckers and locals looking to grab a hot and fresh meal. But don't be fooled by the locale, this diner is well deserving of many praise and will fill an empty stomach. The portions are generous and the food is fresh. The warm, Homemade biscuits are some of the best in the area. The restaurant is clean and can get busy during brunch but it's usually quick to get a table. Give this place a visit if you're looking to cure a hangover or just need a nice meal served alongside some friendly faces. I'll certainly be back again and supporting local business always feels better than some of the dollar menu conglomerates. ”
